When Gus was home for the Christmas holiday, we heard this land was for sale in Northfield. After visiting, we all immediately fell in love the rambling 200 acre dairy and knew this was the place for Gus to realize his dream of farming in Vermont. We are very grateful to the Vermont Land Trust. Without their support, none of this would have been possible.

The first summer at the farm saw huge changes. Land had to be cleared, beds prepared, and a house restored. Beginning with few tools and a lot of sweat labor, Gus removed old debris, tilled the soil, built fences, and constructed the prop house. Mollie and Pepita came the following spring, when the real work of farming began.
